Hi, I am trying trace the history on the Moyle family.
Richard Moyle (born 1820) in Helston Cornwall Caroline Maria Broome (born c.1821) in Kent
They married in St George's Church Cape Town in 1844 and had a son Richard in 1845. I also believe they had a son called William too.
The 1841 census has them living in Cornwall and Kent respectively.
I cannot find them on passenger lists arriving in South Africa or the reason why they both where there.
I have been told that Richard snr was parish clerk, sexton and schoolmaster at St Saviour's Church in Claremont in the 1860's.
Any help would be greatly received, especially their arrival at the Cape.
Many thanks, Helen
